There are huge kinds of snacks at the supermarket and the convenience stores in Japan such as Japanese-style confectionary like a rice cracker and a rice dumpling, a dried squid and cuttlefish it called Surume スルメ for adults and the collaboration snacks with cartoon characters for kids and more.
Today I am going to share you about “Bourbon Petit ブルボン プチ”.
They are quite reasonable snacks and many kinds of flavors. They are printed a pretty bear character and have been collaborated with Demon Slayer recently.
Demon slayer is the Japanese comics and you also can watch TV animation and movie of Demon Slayer. The new season has started recently it’s “Entertainment district arc of Demon Slayer”.
Each bears of Bourbon Pettit put on the costume of Demon Slayer’s characters. For example the bear of a soy sauce rice cracker wears clothes of Genya Shinazugawa, the bear of a salt pretzel dresses of Muzan Kibutuji.
My favorite flavor is raw sugar and soy bean flour wafer!! It tastes like Japanese confectionary because of the soy bean flour and raw sugar. Do you eat often the soy bean flour and raw sugar in your country? We usually eat them with rice cake! The rice cake tastes like sweets thanks for them!!
In addition I want you to check the size of the snacks. When you eat a wafer, you tend to be scattered them all around on the table but you don’t have to spread them any more because they are quite small as you can eat it just one bite.
On another note, Do you know the word “Oshi 推し”? It’s very popular word in Japan and it means “my favorite” in brief. You also say “bias”, ”idol” and “stan” in English.
One of my Oshi is Giyu Tomioka 冨岡義勇 because I like his voice actor who has gentle and soft voice but the voice actor is 47 years old! What!? He is Takahiro Sakurai 櫻井孝宏. Have you heard the voice of Giyu Tomioka for Japanese animation? I can hear his voice forever and ever…
