What is an instant noodle in your country? I watched the TV program about let’s see the instant noodles around the world! like that. Do you have an instant noodle and a cup noodle in your country?
We have two kinds of instant Ramen. One of them, I’ve already shared many times at this blog the instant Ramen you put a noodle in a boiled water and can add some boiled vegetables in it. In addition we have a cup Ramen too that you just pour some hot water and some seasoning in the plastics container and it’s more common here rather than the instant Ramen in my opinion. What do you call both of them in your country and what do you think about it?
Did you notice I use both “noodle” and “Ramen”? As you know they are same meaning but we call noodle “Ramen” in Japan so I choose “Ramen” here.
The TV show taught me that a cup ramen is more expensive than an instant noodle in India and French people do not eat cup ramen so much. Is that true? I’ve heard that there are some machine in a convenience store in south Korea that you put a cup ramen under the machine and it pours some hot water on the noodle and tell you the ramen is ready automatically. It’s unbelievable for me!

Today I am going to share a Japanese cup ramen, in detail a Japanese cup soba. There are three types of noodle in Japan, ramen , Udon and soba.
First I wanna share about soba for the time being. Soba is one of a Japanese noodle made from buckwheat not flour. People say soba does not make you plump by the way. We eat soba both hot and cold.

We have two big companies of cup ramen “Maruchan まるちゃん” and ” Nisshin ニッシン” in Japan. There are many kinds of tastes of cup soba like spicy, tempura and more. Usually I add a egg before poring hot water and I prepare a rice ball too. When you eat noodle, the egg twines around the noodle and you taste it mild and good.

Can you see the tempura in the cup ramen? We have two types of method to put it on the needle. You can choose to put the tempra on the noodle before cooking or after cooking. If you put it before pouring hot water in a cup, you can taste it dampish. If you put it after pouring hot water in a cup, you can taste it crispy and crunchy. Both of them are delicious so that you can choose as you like. I prefer to put it after pouring hot water because I can avoid annoying to chew the tempura too much crunchy, I feel sore in the back of my front tooth when I bite a tempura.

There are so many kinds of cup ramen in the Japanese supermarket and they are so delicious. We eat them at lunch time usually with some rice.
How is your country?

See you next time!
