Have you heard about Japan’s tarins rumor? People say that Japan’s trains are extremely punctual. They arrive exactly on time and always depart the very second shown on the timetable. It’s not a rumor. It’s true.

Japan’s Train
Be careful. Japan’s trains during morning hours and rush hours are incredibly crowded. You never take the open seats and are packed shoulder to shoulder in a train. It’s better to avoid getting on a jam-packed train.
And if you’re even a moment late, you will miss the train. Japanese trains are never late. They depart punctually. They leave exactly as schedule without a moment’s delay.
However, there are so many kinds of trains here. We have sleeper trains, single-car trains, trolley trains and more. They take you on a nostalgic journey and let you see a historical view and beautiful scenery that changes with the seasons.

Shinkansen
As you know shinkansen is one of Japan’s proudest innovations-fast, elegant and so cool! It looks awesome! Shinkansen is often referred to the bullet train, is Japanese high speed rail network. The top operating speed is said up to 320km/h. The typical speed is about 260-300km/h depending on the train series and toute. Furthermore, there are a variety of shinkansen models, each with its own design and route. Nozomi, Hikari, Kodama are very famous because they could be meet at Tokyo and Osaka.

Designed Trains
Some trains are decorated with character themes, seasonal scenery and more. For example, a train heading to the Osaka EXPO is wrapped in a design featuring Myaku-Myaku which is the official mascot of the Osaka EXPO.
When I went to the Universal Studio Japan, I took a train decorated with SUPER NINTENDO WORLD where is a very famous area in the Universal Studio Japan. It makes you even more exiting to enjoy Universal Studio Japan!

There is also female-only passenger car. In Japan some trains offer women-only cars often during peak hours to provide a safer and more comfortable environment. I feel it’s uncomfortable though because I always visit Universal Studio Japan with my husband and kids. But the decorated train was great, and the design showcased a deep commitment to detail-even the decorations whispered intention.
