There are many beautiful places in Japan for sightseeing and just relaxing. Let’ check some Japanese beautiful spots where might not be in a Japanese guidebook for foreign people!
Typical Japanese landscape
Of course, sightseeing spots where many people know are so much beautiful such as Mt. Fuji, Japanese castles and some filming locations for drama. Drama shooting spots in Hokkaido have been overrun by tourist from overseas recently. These days, there might be more foreign tourists than Japanese visitors at those places.

Hidden Gems
Japan is long from north to south so that the climates is different between north of Japan and south of Japan. Even the terroir for Osaka and Tokyo is absolutely different. Because of these differences, the landscapes in Japan are very unique and interesting!
The Peral Bridge

The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge 明石海峡大橋 is a suspension bridge, it connects Kobe with Awaji Island. It’s known as the Pearl Bridge. Its total length of 3,911 meters and it’s the longest suspension bridge in the world. The central span is 1,991 meters! It’s amazing and stunning views!!
The Angel Road
There is a small island called Shodoshima 小豆島 between shikoku 四国 and Honsyu 本州. It needs to take a ship to visit the island. You can take the ship with a car! It’s so fun!
Anyway, Angel Road is a scenic sandbar located in Shodoshima. The sandbar appearances depend on the tide. It appears twice a day at low tide, and you can walk across the beautiful sandy path to the smaller island where you can look at from the sandy beach.
People say that couples who walk across the path hand in hand will stay together forever and ever! It’s romantic!

There is a boat tour near the Angel Road. The boat goes quite fast while a man explains about Shodoshima. Then he shows you some interesting small islands. One of them looks like an elephant!

Even few Japanese people have been visited Shodoshima! It’s famous for drama filming spot, olive oil, lemon and soy sauce! There are many olive trees at shodoshima. It’s breathtaking beautiful. Furthermore, the surface of the water is smooth and gentle because Shodoshima lies in the midst of larger islands such as Shikoku and Honsyu.
