Osaka
Osaka is located in west of Japan. There are some international airports around Osaka, and it takes about 2 and half hours from Tokyo by Shinkansen. Osaka is famous for flour-based dishes such as Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki and Ikayaki. People who were born and raised in Osaka are often said that they are cheerful, funny and talkative from other Japanese people. Osaka castle is also famous because its historical event.
EXPO 2025 Osaka Japan
First you need to a ticket to enter the EXPO. Before you visit there, you need to get a ticket on website. If you want a printed ticket, it’s able to be purchased at convenience stores or travel agencies.
Reserve your visit date and time
Don’t forget to reserve your visit date and time. Unfortunately, it’s already difficult to get the best day and time you want to visit. It’s full of reservations. This reservation system is very unique. You can check the availability on official ticket website.
How to get to the location
There are several ways to get to EXPO 2025 Osaka. The most important thing is not allowed to enter by car. There is some parking around the EXPO site, but you need to take a shuttle to the site from the parking. Be careful! Advance reservations are required for the parking and the bus.
Furthermore, the EXPO site is huge so that the entrance is not the only one. The shuttle buses arrive west gate where is a little far from the main entrance.
EXPO recommends using shuttle buses. The shuttle buses depart from major stations such as Osaka, Shin-Osaka. To use the buses, you need an advance reservation. If you don’t want to bother by the bus time, it had better to get a train.
Nearby station from EXPO is Yumeshima 夢洲. Osaka Metro Chuo Line reaches Yumeshima. If you visit EXPO from Shin-Osaka or Umeda, it’s better to go Hommachi and transfer there to Osaka Metro Chuo Line. Osaka train system is very complicated.
The Main Entrance
After getting off the train, it starts to walk for a long long time!
Yumeshima station is very clean and full of EXPO decorations. It’s several minute walk from the station to the EXPO main entrance. However, you have to wait in line, if it’s crowded.
Why do people wait in line? Because of the security check. Large baggage and pets are not allowed to enter with you. Luggage with wheels such as suitcase is also not allowed.
Pavilions
EXPO site is so much spacious! There are 182 pavilions. Where would you like to visit? How many pavilions would you like to enjoy?
Lottery system
EXPO serves you 3 reservation systems.
EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan website says
The “2-month advance lottery” is an application system for pavilion and event admission that can be entered from 3 months before until the day before 2 months prior to the reserved visit date.
“Available slot reservation (Pavilions/events)” is a reservation application for pavilions and events viewings that is accepted from three days before the date of the reservation until 9 AM the day before.
On site registration is for reservations to view pavilions and events, starting 10 minutes after entering the venue.

Summary
There are many things to do before entering the EXPO. Your smartphone is necessary! One more point to note is that the EXPO site is fully cashless. Approximately 70 types of payment ways, including credit cards, e-money, and code payments, will be allowed. Furthermore, the foods and drinks are quite expensive compared to usual Japanese restaurants.
