Hokkaido

Hokkaido is a very big island of Japan, it’s located in north of Japan. The main city of Hokkaido is Sapporo. It takes one or two hours from Tokyo or Osaka by airplane.
There is fabulous nature throughout Hokkaido. It’s so much snow in winter and beautiful fallen leaves in autumn. Of course, cherry blossoms are great in spring. It’s not so much hot nor humid in summer. How great is it!

How do you go sightseeing in Hokkaido

New Chitose Airport. It is a big airport in Hokkaido, there are many airplanes come from Tokyo, Osaka or overseas. It’s a little far from Sapporo and you need to go Sapporo first because almost everything is gathered in Sapporo such as delicious restaurants, great hotels or shopping spots.
It takes 40 minutes from new chitose airport to Sapporo by train. The trains operate frequently, and they are always punctual. You can buy the train ticket by touch panel and the touch panel is available in various languages! If you’d like to take a seat definitely, you need to buy a reserved seat ticket not only a train ticket.
There are many buses or trains from Sapporo so that you can visit anywhere you want in Hokkaido from Sapporo. It’s so many snows in Sapporo as I mentioned, the underground is well-developed in Sapporo. There are many subway lines and some stations are linked underground. Furthermore, there are so many restaurants and shops are in underground. And the underground is very clean and safe! It’s no longer one of the sightseeing spots in Japan!

Food in Hokkaido

Hokkaido is famous for delicious food as well such as ramen, sushi and soup curry. They are popular for Japanese visitors!
Have you heard about Royce? It’s a chocolate company in Hokkaido but it’s very famous all over Japan. The chocolate from Royce is worth eating once! It’s rich and looks cute! There are so many kinds of chocolates, and they sell even chips with chocolate, cookies, ice cream and bread!

Royce Town Station

Royce has a big factory near Sapporo, and it made a station for only the Royce factory!! It’s just Royce factory and huge nature around the station. Many people from overseas visit the station to look for the beautiful landscape there. It is a big sightseeing place now.
You can go factory tour there and buy chocolates and bread.

Bread from Royce

I strongly recommend a bread from Royce. It’s a unique bread that a whole chocolate bar is in a fluffy bread, and the chocolate bar is hanging out of the bread!

Just the bread is great! It’s fluffy and smells like butter and egg. The chocolate bar is not too much sweet, it’s just right for the bread. It looks too much but it’s not. You can eat whole of them easily! The texture is soft for the bread and very crunchy for the chocolate bar. And the slice almond smells so fragrant!
