Japanese in low sticky problem

I share a real Japanese in-low relationship here. It’s sticky and troublesome. Truely. I have no idea about other country’s in low conflicts. It looks like family relationship is more stubborn in Japan and other asian countries compare to the other countries. For the introduction, the Japanese are very strict about the relationship between senior and junior in society and even in family.

Marriage in Japan

We have a custom that the marriage means a girl marries into her husband’s family. It means the girl’s family gives their daughter to her hudsband’s family. It’s weird. We are not a present. You fell in love into your partner, you are going to get marry, right? If you don’t get along with your family-in-low, what would you like to do?

Mother in low hates her daughter in low

Basically, mother-in-low doesn’t like her daughter-in-low because daughter-in-low becomes a part of a family suddenly. Daughter-in-low takes away a boy from mother-in-low, and he loves her daughter-in-low. It’s humiliating for mother-in-low.
Talking about Japan, girlfriend doesn’t meet her boyfriend’s family until desiding to get married. Of course it depends. Mother-in-low is taken away her lovely son from someone who doesn’t know. That would make her want to nasty to daughter-in-low.

Japanese custom during vacation

We have two long vacations in new year and summer in Japan. At that time you need to visit your husband’s family. Even you visit them many times in holidays. Japanese are very strict about a family relationship. You must respect seniors like mother-in-low and father-in-low even if you hate them. You are not allow to go back to your family’s place so many times if you were a daughter-in-low. Mother-in-low gets mad.

Japanese poeple don’t say what they think

To visit hudsband’s family and stay there during the vacation, daughter-in-low must do every dishes and make forced smile no matter what someone did. At that time, mother-in-low means to daughter-in-low such a critisizes for child rearing, sarcastic…anyway mother-in-low doesn’t like everything about daughter-in-low.
Japanese daughter-in-low doesn’t say anything bad to mother-in-low and never rebel against her, so that mother-in-low keeps meaning to daughter-in-low. The mean becomes routine. The long vacation with family-in-low is hell.

I hope Japanese old and strange customs go away. Of course every Japanese mother-in-low are not like insanity. Talking abou me, my mother-in-low had been saying unreasonable things to me for more than 10 years, and I said my oinion just once politely to her, so she got mad and yelled. It was truely hell. Just want you know, Japan is not only good things.
