Japanese people often eat raw egg. We put it on noodle or mix it in Natto なっとう. However we love warm steamed rice with a raw egg the most. It’s called TKG たまごかけごはん!!
How to eat TKG
There are several kinds of eating style depends on people. Some people firstly put some soy sauce on rice and mix rice and soy sauce. And then crack an egg on the mixed rice. Spread the runny yolk on rice, scoop them out and eat them!!
The other style is mixing everything! Cruck an egg on steamed rice and pour some soy sauce. And then stir everything. They will be creamy and fluffy!!
Incidentally, it called TKG in Japanese. T is for Tamago means egg, K is for Kake means putting on and G is for Gohan means rice.
Usually you don’t put any ingredients except for egg and soy sauce. For the side dishes there are some Japanese fried chickens or miso soup.
Once you tried to eat TKG, you will be addicted to TKG! How many refills will you ask?

There is a very famous TKG restaurant in Kyoto Japan. It’s in Kyoto but very close to Osaka.

The menu is just one. It’s TKG set. It’s including miso soup, sea kelp, and fried chickens. The raw eggs and steamed rice are all you can eat! In addition the raw egg is not normal. It’s managed by the chicken ranch so that the egg is extremely fresh and the yolk is rich and vivid orange.
Summary
It might be a little hesitated to eat an raw egg for the first time for not Japanese people. But many Japanese people like to eat the Japanese raw egg. When you visit Japan, just try to eat TKG! It must be delicious more than you can imagine!
