These days it’s getting cold in Japan. The snow season is just around the corner. What would you like to eat when it’s cold? There is nothing like hot meal in cold whether. We have hotpot dish, Oden おでん, and some kinds of hot noodles in Japan. Of course hot noodles make you think of Ramen soup noodle らーめん, doesn’t you?!
Ramen らーめん
Ramen is not only one type like the noodle in the hot soup and also the type of just noodle on a plate and a bowl of soup called Dipping noodle or “Tsukemen つけめん” in Japanese. When you eat a dipping noodle, dip the noodle and an ingredients into the broth like Soba which is a Japanese traditional noodle. You can chose hot noodle or cool noodle at a dipping noodle restaurant.
Of curse each restaurants have the own attractive taste for the noodle ,the broth and the ingredients. Such as seafood flavor or soy sauce flavor, and chewy noddle or rich flour aroma’s noodle. You need to carefully select a restaurant to go.
Tenkaippin 天下一品
One of the most famous ramen restaurant in Japan is Tenkaippin てんかいっぴん.
It’s franchised all over Japan and there are 217 shops now. The first Tenkaippin restaurant was started in Kyoto in 1971. There are some kinds flavor of ramen from Tenkaippin but almost people visit there order one kind of ramen.
That is Kotteri.
A extremely rich Ramen “Kotteri こってり” from Tenkaippin
The rich ramen is famous and many restaurant has rich ramen menu. However rich ramen from Tenkaippin called Kotteri こってり in Japanese is extremely rich. The soup is so much rich but it’s difficult to drink it like soup because the texture is really thick. The noodle clings to the soup because of the too much rich soup.
The rich soup made from chicken broth. It tastes unexpectedly creamy and mild. It is popular by men and women of all ages.
