I share you Japanese regional confection today, it’s Hagi no tsuki from Miyagi prefecture.
First I am going to inform you about Miyagi prefecture. Miyagi is located east of Japan and it is located 300 kilometers north of Tokyo. It is famous for ox tongue dishes, a comic duo called Sandwichman サンドイッチマン, Masamune Date 伊達政宗 and more.
There are many beautiful natures there and it’s snow in Winter.
Japanese people hit upon something regional sweets when we hear about the prefecture name and Miyagi prefecture remind us Hagi no Tshuki 萩の月.
This confection shapes moon so that it’s quite circle and colors delicate yellow. One box contains one sweet.
A soft castella wraps up sweet milk cream. It’s so spongy like if you grasp it , it will be like a piece of felt. In addition it tastes milk custard cream and a soft sweet sponge.

Hagi no tsuki shapes the bright moon that is shining high up in Miyagi-no where there are so many blooming bush clovers called Hagi.
The rich and soft Castilla wrap up the original mallow custard cream. Please enjoy the heart warmed taste. There are no food additive in it and it keeps a fresh flavor by deoxygenating agent.
