I went to a tea ceremony at a Japanese garden a few days ago with my family. Ancient Japanese people had a custom of taking Japanese tea while looking at the garden in beautiful fall leaves season or fascinating cherry blossom season. I mean the Japanese tea is a green tea which is a drink mixed with concentrated tea powder called matcha and hot water by Japanese style. Have you ever tasted it? It is a little bit bitter and so much creamy, it goes well with something sweat confectionery.
There are so many matcha taste sweets these days in Japan, for example matcha cream puff, matcha ice cream, matcha cookies, matcha chocolate and more.
Today I am going to share you a confectionery using matcha “Meiji Rich Matcha Chocolate Sand”.
It says that provide you with rich time tasting matcha chocolate.
First bite you can taste the fresh scent of first picked burgeons.
Second bite you can taste the rich flavor of chocolate.
Third bite you can taste a profound of cocoa biscuit and matcha.
It contains three bags in it.
One bag consists of two chocolate sands.
A matcha chocolate between two bitter cocoa biscuits, and the matcha chocolate quite bitter and hard to chew. The biscuits are crispy and a little thick so that it needs power to bite as well. In addition the more it chews, the tastier it flavors. The pastry that goes well with coffee! My kids had it with a cup of milk though!
Do you eat any matcha taste sweets in your country?
This is one of a Japanese matcha pastry you can buy at the supermarket.
See you next time!
